Eucharistic Minister

Eucharistic Minister, or more properly "Lay Eucharistic Minister LEM", is used to denote a lay person who assists the priest in administering the sacraments of holy communion, the consecrated bread and wine. They may also take the sacraments to those who are ill, or otherwise unable to attend Mass.

Called to serve!

We all have a call to bring Jesus to those who can not for one reason or another be part of a community on Sundays or other days. Some of us are called to take the Lord to them wherever they are. If you feel you are called to such ministry, join us and become part of a group that makes a difference in the lives of the shut-ins.

Lay Eucharistic Minister
  • Attends worship on a regular basis
  • Visits shut-ins and shut-outs for any reason regularly
  • Brings hope and peace those who need it most
  • Prays for those they serve
  • Commits to leading a life of prayer

Why I attend and worship at St. James!

What I love most about St. James, our church, is answered in the song lyrics, "Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. I can feel God's mighty power and God's grace". - Anne
What I love the most about our St. James community is the unique, authentic way in which it embodies the spirit of Christ's love.  You can truly sense the sincere, personal interest for every person from your very first moments here and that's very special.  For me at least, these loving relationships have been a wonderful gateway into the broader life of God's Kingdom, offering support and joy to me as I continue in my personal walk, learning to better care for and serve others, as well as our broader community. Brett
St. James is my family of God loving people who care about each other, the church and the community. Our music and choir are fabulous with a wide assortment of music styles and led by the one and only Dr. Jeremy chessman. - Eric
