Every Sunday our youth meet for fun, fellowship and study at 12 noon. After church, we gather in the hall for our lunch. We use our time to have some good time with each other, talk about issues that matter to us and do some community service. We also serve at worship.
Each month we have a fun outing and fellowship. They include movies, skating, biking and more. These gatherings help us to build community.
I love the sense of the Holy Spirit that lives and moves throughout the worship and ministries that we all share. I love that we look for and see Christ in each other and in all who enter our spiritual home. And, I love that we take our shared love of God to those outside our doors....and beyond.
When I came to St James, I immediately felt the realness of the people, Father Ross, and the beauty of the service. There were times I felt like leaving, but the anchor pulled me back. Thank God for all the anchors that are all around and in St. James.
I am so grateful that St. James is such an accepting, loving place. If anyone had tried to shove Jesus down his throat or in his face or tried to tell him how it is, he would have been gone long ago. I also love the adult Sunday school.
I love St. James because it is a fun church where I can be (through His leading) the hands and feet of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I do it with other members who are filled with the Fruits of the Spirit.
St. James welcomed us like family from our first visit. I have found it easy to trust this, my church family, and I am accepted and loved as I am.
What I love most about St. James, our church, is answered in the song lyrics, "Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. I can feel God's mighty power and God's grace".
